About Front Range Doulas
Meet Ella Thramann,
Birth Doula, DONA International
Hello, my name is Ella Thramann and I am a trained Birth Doula through DONA International. I have experienced how amazing doula support can be through my own journey to motherhood which inspired me to pursue my doula career. Going through pregnancy as a teenager during a pandemic with all of the various restrictions was incredibly challenging.
Due to the pandemic, I was only allowed my partner and a doula in the delivery room. While I had hoped to have my mother with me, I did my homework and found a doula who supported me in every possible way. She calmed me down when I was filled with anxiety, she stood by our side throughout the birth. She put me in positions that helped progress my labor and encouraged my partner to be hands-on, she helped me breathe through my contractions and helped me push when it was time; she even cried with me when my son was born. She provided continuity of care, checking in on me during the postpartum period. Her encouraging words and actions helped me get through the best experience ever and this is when I decided I wanted to be that person for others.
When not busy supporting families, you will find me out on a lake fishing, working out, playing at a park with my son or hanging out with my family.
Meet Lauren Kingry,
Birth Doula, DONA International
Hello, my name is Lauren Kingrey and I am a trained birth doula through DONA International. I have always been passionate about empowering and supporting women, especially in a medical setting. When I discovered the beautiful work of being a doula, I felt so called to begin my journey of helping to improve birth and postpartum experiences for women and their families.
I also have a deep desire to support women who have a history of sexual abuse. Any type of reproductive health care can be difficult for survivors, but birth and the tender postpartum period can bring forth feelings and memories surrounding past trauma. I find it so important as a doula to help my clients process trauma, encourage self advocacy and autonomy, and most importantly feel heard and safe.
Outside of my work as a doula you will find me hiking Colorado’s beautiful mountains, reading books, and spending time with family.
It would be my honor, no matter where you’re entering your birth experience from, to support and comfort you in one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
